Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actress. Her most well-known role was Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Other roles she has played include Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during Preparatory School, before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career with Chicago-area theaters for a few years. After that, she switched to television and film. Anna was cast as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Anna continued appearing in films as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of the 1990's. Anna was later placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years on Deadwood's season two. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. In addition, she played in Numbered Day, an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio plays. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life story and the strain on the marriage he shares with Skyler can be seen in the series.
