Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of eyewitness accounts from children's memories as well as the role of children victims in court settings. Her publications are numerous and she has been awarded numerous grants, and has been the winner of many awards at both national and internationally. She has been a consultant to numerous governments and agencies throughout the world on policies as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
